On my new MK2, the rev counter doesn't work and also the MFA wont change, just shows the time. I have tried taking the fuse out and still no joy. Any one know if its the dash unit or MFA stalk or both???
orrrr its not origional its just for show, someone just put all the mfa-ness in and didnt wire it, much lik my mates rev counters not working is common aparently, so a newun is the usual answer
Thats very possibly, bullsh*t. Rev counters and the MFA (go at the same time) on Mk2 GTI's have a common problem of failing. What year is it mate? If it's 90 spec, its very common!! Try unplugging the single plug for a good few mins.
