http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSeVZuNLYMI&mode=related&search= question, whats that short sharp hiss sound when he changes gear? the turbo?
Thats a twin VR6 mate. One in the front and one in the back The the little his is the wastegate/dump valve
NAh man. 2 VR6 lumps... 2 turbos, 1 on each engine. One engine in the front, one engine in the back...
that will be B16 DUB (big dub) I've got pics from inters couple years back, with it there nice to see it was still drawing in the crowds, you see how many people ran to the strip everytime it came up the line 0-60 in 3 seconds was it??
it's class! must be sooo loud and hot inside though! And surely complicated to get it working?? Timing? changing gear etc??
Thats the blow-off valve making that "chirping" noise. Its a release valve to prevent excess spooling/boost pressure to escape between shifts. Without it, the turbos would practically blow themselves up. Twin turbo setups can have 2 turbos on 1 engine. Eg. Nissan 300zx tt(twin turbo) has one on each side of the v-6, hense, exhast driven turbines.
