Mk3 VR6 doing a 12second run

    Thats a twin VR6 mate. One in the front and one in the back;)

    The the little his is the wastegate/dump valve:)

  3. i always thought twin turbo ment it just had 2 turbos??? Or do you know this car from elsewhere lol

    NAh man.
    2 VR6 lumps...
    2 turbos, 1 on each engine.

    One engine in the front, one engine in the back...

    I've got pics from inters couple years back, with it there

    nice to see it was still drawing in the crowds, you see how many people ran to the strip everytime it came up the line:thumbup: 0-60 in 3 seconds was it??

    must be sooo loud and hot inside though!

    And surely complicated to get it working?? Timing? changing gear etc??

    Thats the blow-off valve making that "chirping" noise. Its a release valve to prevent excess spooling/boost pressure to escape between shifts. Without it, the turbos would practically blow themselves up. Twin turbo setups can have 2 turbos on 1 engine. Eg. Nissan 300zx tt(twin turbo) has one on each side of the v-6, hense, exhast driven turbines.

    You can hear a very obvious "boost" release as he crosses the finish line and starts slowing down.:)
