Does anyone know where the temp sender is located on a 1999 Golf GTI 1.8T as the temp guage has stopped working. Are these senders available anywhere else other than VAG? Cheers
Take off both of the engine covers. It sits in the large coolant pipe to the right hand side of the cylinder head. VAG item is about 25 IIRC. These guys might be a bit cheaper.
