Hi all, currently have a mk4 golf 1.8t with quite a few mods and am contemplating an r32 engine conversion. Just wondering what parts id need to complete it?? Could i use my gearbox?? Assume engine mounts would be the same?? I know alot of people will say sell it and buy an r32 but i dont really want to as ive been through alot with this car and cant bring myself to sell it. Also spent quite a bit of money on it.

You can't use your box. You would need a V5 or VR6 box. You would need a 2WD conversion manifold.

I think a lot will say just buy an R32, how about a 2.0 TFSI conversion instead? I saw one at the Elsecar show and it looked a nice neat fit.
