I've just bought a Mk4 crystal look headlight kit for the old wagon. Just wondering if there is anything i should know before fitting it?

Is it a direct replacment? i says it is so as far as i can see it should be very straight forward

Just arrived in the post.... [:D]

When i set the lights up, are they adjusted on the actual lights or from inside the car?

just lob the grill off, undo the bolts surrounding the lights, disconnect the connector at the back and that's it!

Errr I would think that removing the old lights, putting the new ones in, connecting them up and replacing the bolts and grill were all very important steps. ;)

Dead easy to do. All don't in 5 mins, just be careful with the grill. You really don't want to go breaking any og the tabs.

Mine needed to be adjusted but I just marked on the wall where me old beams were and then roughly alligned the new lights with these marks.

Depending on the year of your car, I think its pre 95 with my hellas, you'd need a converter as connections are different on pre and post 95 golfs. I have a 97, so I was lucky. Just thought you should know.
