Mk4 platform stuff sucks, they do have a certain french feel when working on them and all the pain and effort you put in for a pretty poor handling lard ass.

Lol, You cant compare a Mk4 to French crap ? [:s]

I agree on the handling, it could do with being more stiff from standard, especially on the GTI

Everyone who has been in mine has always commented what a nice car it is.

    Here's mine ;)

Trouble is us hardened seized wishbone bolt removers have made the decision already.
I am pretty sure I have a Citroen, Renault or Peugeot badge here I can send down to you Richard.

Think I will be pushing for Mk4s to be banned from the forum next tbh.

Because it was a 16v model and I am making sure it is destroyed properly and never to be used on the road again.
I am Davros, king of Daleks to the 16v engines...........EXTERMINATE!! EXTERMINATE!!

what a thread, with people claiming the engines are good for transplants? such an UN-GTI engine only has one place, in a MK4, putting it in anything else is just daft

I know the 2.0L 8v MK4 could do with 'Exterminating'. Not sure why they bothered making it tbh ? And definitely not worthy of the GTI badge.

These are the best looking MK4's imo -

Richard, that car has two doors on one side, and one on the other.

Yep, but that would be an 8v engine from a mk4. The only 16v engine fitted to a mk4 appears to be made of cheese. IE soft as.

Ahh it is a different car. I think you may just be trying to confuse and distract me by posting lots of pictures. And also try to make me forget about sending this French car badge your way. ;)

EDIT: Is that Scully off the X files?
