Got my 2015 GTI PP about a month ago, absolutely love it. When I bought it, I had the sales rep throw in a set of 16" winter tires on steel rims - snow tires are a must where I live, plus the PP includes summer-only tires.

Just got to the dealer to have them installed, and the service rep came up and said, "Good news and bad news. Good news, your GTI is really fancy. Bad news, the rims won't fit, you need the winter rims we sell for the Golf R to fit over the massive brakes. They're 17" alloys, as far as they know there are no steel rims the right size."

Yikes!!! The $ delta is about $1000 CDN which is more than I was planning on spending this morning. I've mostly gotten over it, and the Golf R rims will look cool, but anybody buying a GTI PP living north of the Mason-Dixon should be aware...
