im putting a vr6 in my mkII i was just wondering about the lambda sensor that goes into the cat. if iget rid of the cat can i leave the lambda sensor out or do i need to keep it? cheers
Get a decat pipe with lambda probe attachment. Im just doing a VR into my Mk2 as well, its going to be THE engine of 2005. So many are going for VR6s. Theres no replacement for displacement, and 2005 is bounceback of the Vee-InLine!!
can you suggest somewere to get a de-cat pipe, i was gonna chop the pipe just after the lambda probe and weld a piece in, how much are the de cat pipes
magnex do one for bout 100 squids.same for all mk3s i think. Usual outlets such as: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20golfmk3/exhausts.html Edited by: Seraph
Im going to take my cat to a powerflow dealer, give them the dimensions of my other exhaust system and how long it needs to be, then get them to knock one up.
i got one for mine form motech, (they normally have a stand at some of the shows) cost 40 and did the job fine. the guy used to have a web site but cant remember the address
