Ok, it's friday and I'm winding down. Whats the most beautiful machine ever made in your opinion? just been reading about cruisliners, and this has to be one of the most awesomely beautiful machines ever made. I can think of a few cars that rival it though...

SS Normandie, 1930's cruisliner, almost twice the tonnage of the Titanic, and a lot longer.

8v golf, built 1990 in Wolfsburg, considerably lighter than the Titanic and seats 5 comfortably.

    The human, I'd say.

After that it could be any fine piece of equipment, from a firearm to a watch to whatever:)

You very nearly would have won, but as you were posting that, I posted my vote of a human, but the gun was a close second:clap:

For the record, it was too hard to pick any one gun, the GE134 was thought of, a nice H&H rifle, a German MG34 or MG42, the original German assualt rifle, the AK47, Sigs and CZ pistols, and so on.

You were within seconds of being 100% correct, but to be honest, who here wouldn't have guessed I was going to post a pic of a firearm?[:$]

Well, cars aside (and the Spitfire) ... Bismarck, 41'673 tons of pure power, yet she was still graceful.

The beautiful (but flawed) HMS Hood is a very close second ...

... pride of the Royal Navy for 20 years, she sunk in less than 2 minutes.

I'd also put in a vote for the Hawker Typhoon, brutal yet beautiful ..

And the Lockheed F104 Starfighter, the 'missile with a man in it' ...

And the B-17, beautiful with its purposeful lines and tough reputation ...
