Hi all!

Here is my '90 Big Bumper 16v GTI.

I purchased the car back in June. It came with a large history file comprising original sale invoice, every MoT from 1993 onwards, owner's handbook and the original covered key exclusive to the 16v model.

It is finished in the rare colour of blue black (code L52M) which from a bit of research I believe was a special order colour and was only available for one year?

Here's some pictures of when I first bought her...

The next day it was ready for a thorough detail which consisted of decontamination, washed, two stage polish and then coated with Autofinesse Illusion wax, the pictures speak for themselves really...

No major changes over the summer, just enjoyed the weather and the car! A few OEM & period correct bits added (because I'm a purist) ;)

The original Grange Motors dealer plates the car came on were very tired so I had them replicated and new ones printed...

Center cap decals replaced...

Period correct replica tax disc (the earliest genuine one I had for the car was 2004)

Hella Spotlight stickers, Volkwagen Alarm Warning stickers along with the correct engine bay stickers...

Managed to find an unopened First Aid Kit to go in the boot...

Retro goodies...

And a picture from a local show in summer...

Few updates coming for 2017, adding a few 90's touches.

First off after a lot of searching and patience a set of Azev A's came up in the sizes I wanted them (16" x 7.5J) - only a 3 hour drive to Wales to get them lol
[IMG][/IMG]
Next is to get them refurbed and some new rubber ready for the better weather! I have spoken with a very nice lady at Azev and got the factory silver paint code to keep it original.

Also managed to get hold of a genuine Kamei Grill Spoiler from Germany after seeing a picture of one on an old GTi Engineering car.

Fitted the freshly painted Kamei grill spoiler today. Also test fitted the Azev's and photoshopped what the car should look like with the Eibach Pro Springs on, what do you guys think?
