    I've crashed my car :(

I'll post pics later when it's recovered

The damage isn't that bad but I reckon
the cost of repair will be biblical...

Could be a spare parts sale coming your
    way very very soon

    I need a hug.

As long as you are ok mate, that's the main thing. I know you are probably gutted about your car, it's not a nice feeling, but you never know it may be fixable.

    Cheers, stew.

if the legs are bent you can tweak them straight(er) to get the car fixed and drivable easily, they are a lot weaker than you would think! You have to spend a bit on a precision VW jigging tool, but the price is worth it:

I got all the front end on and lined up after sorting the leg and it was fine, though I did have it put on a jig a few weeks later for a proper realignment. You could at least do some measuring using the blueprint in my sig 'jig - golf mk2.jpg'

dont loose heart! yours looks a lot better than mine did. From this:

As Sir Guy, of the kingdom of Do says I bet them wings are savable too, provided the bumper hasn't damaged the fronts too much. they're pretty easy to tweak back into shape by hand!

It's more the Kingdom of "doh " lol

Can you make it drivable ? Enough to get over to me ? My part time mechanic has been jigging cars for the last 30 years and could get it tidy for you here

Thanks for all the info guys.

The car still drives fine, once the weather improves I'm going to put it
back on my drive and have a proper look.
(it's only 100m down the road at the moment)

I'm skint for the time being, but shortly I'll have saved enough money
to hopefully pay for whatever repairs I need.

Becoming a paid member is a high priority.

I'm not going to have any free time for a while with work and everything, where about (edit: in Bolton) are you situated anyway?

I slid into a van... causing zero damage to them.

Feel for you, not to bad looking and some great offers of help, make sure your rad isn't damaged and leaking before you drive it too far. Worth the effort to save though:)
