This will probably be deleted as advertising like, but here goes... but I was just wondering whether to get rid of my jetta as it is, or to spend a bit more time on it and MOT it and then stick it up for sale? does it really make such a big difference to the price if it's MOT'd? I really can't be ar5ed to spend any more time on it and I just want it out of the way.

I know I'm not going to use it, so I want rid of it for whatever it owes me. If anyones interested the know where to find me. Either take it like it is (running, new clutch, weber, alloys etc, but no MOT or tax) or pay me a bit extra to sort it all out.

MOT it, its not that stringent a test and any vehicle with 12 munce ministry approval has much more selling power than one with any number of unnamed faults.
I know what you mean about f**king around with a car that wont make much money though, I just binned my only car with MOT as I need space, could have sold it but its too much p****** around.

becasue it's not taxed, insured or registered in my name, so I can't drive it to the MOT place.

you know roughly what needs doing to it I'm sure so you could just get your local garage to do it and not have them rip you off with busllshiit about what it needed. Minimal effort and a saleable propostiion as a cheap running project for someone..... polish it up and stright in the back of the golf mags for tidy profit!

nah, I'd never make a profit if I paid a garage, I only want a few hundred quid of the car anyway, and they'd charge me a few hundred to do a couple of daft jobs on it.

I'd rather sell it cheap. Garages are scum, I'm not giving them a penny.

break it? might make more money, without an MOT. When you've sold enough bits to cover what you wanted to get for the car as a whole, then scrap the rest.

haven't got time for that. needs to go this month.

I already sold the shell and took the engine out, but he nevr came for it or paid up, so I had to put it back together.
