   I take out the ignition key and the stereo still glows in all its glory!! Its not nice!!
   
   Is there not an ignition 12V in a Mk1?
   Can it be bodged?

   this has been covered in another topic a while ago,
   
   use the ignition live from the fan/heater,
   
   as they can only be used with the ignition on,
