Hey all, new to the board and vw in general. Had a couple questions...just bought an 04 GTI and lovin it! So is my car the MKIV or MKV, and what is the difference? Also, what is the atmosphere of this forum? Seems a bit more laid back than vortex, yeah?
An 04 GTI is probably a MK4 -- MK5 GTI's ain't out get -- only the FSI (i think thats right??) Vortex has loads of load yanks on -- so we ignore it!
Yes yes...I am a Yank myself in the truest sense of the word, I'm from Rhode Island, one of the original Yank states! Not all of us are like the ones you see on whoretex though! From what I hear that site went tits up a long way back (notice casual use of UK slang)

I tend to only buy fags when i am fairly p***** Heheh, this could go on for a while..., but anyway, thanks for the info.
