Looks to me like it might be an early small-bumper Edition One 16v that's had big-bumpers fitted?

The RHD and leather interior is a bit of a conundrum though as the driver's seat has a height adjuster suggesting it's a RHD interior. I also didn't think leather was an option on the Edition 1 (got an early Ed.1 brochure at home so I'll have a look).

The 4-button wheel and wipers point to it being a pre-changeover car, but the doors and grille suggest otherwise. Perhaps it's a mid-changeover car as I know there are a few mix'n'match Golfs out there that came out of the factory with bits from both on them.

Do you know wnything else about it?

 

the steering wheel isn't the original one.......got that one on the back seat. Was small bumpers, the guy before but the big ones on. Thats changing back to small ones ASAP.
And defo seems like a RHD interior.

Oh and its a PL engine.
