    I think that ford built those P100 sierra based pick ups in South Africa did they not cos they didn`t last too long in this country what with the rust.
    So maybe the build quality ,durability would maybe an issue with them.

    They only stopped making the original beetle last year remember.
    If it does what its designed to do why change it?

    They were making the beetle's in Mexico until not all that long ago.

    South Africa VAG was the only place that made Mk1, mk2 and mk3 golfs all at the same time.

    yummy pics,info. :lol:

    Anyway i work with a guy in the UK who owns a vw garage in SA capetown area & he's going back soon but im getting all his contact info off him......he says that the rhd citi golf has the brake servo on the same side as the pedals not like us with german rhd cars, if so is the engine layout the same as ours or is it mirrored so there is space where my rocker cover etc would be (if that makes sense)?

    I need a close up pic of the engine bay in the rhd to give me some possible transplant idea's of citi parts into our rhd golf's.

    ive got one aswell!!

    F reg totaly standerd, full vw SA and UK service history,


    its getting a make over in the summer half way through it now. Watch this space.
    their was one in my work not so long ago with power steering and air con?!

    also there was a 53 reg' beetle in my work today, strange thing, heated front window, lupo interior,
