Think its in Oklahoma which gets storms bad, massive land area to heat up the air. think i'll stick with UK lightening.
We get those in South Africa. I can remember being about 7 or 8, visiting my uncle's farm. There was a massive storm one night, and me and my cousing were playing in his room when there was this big white flash, followed by the loudest bang you've ever heard. I levitated from a seated position to the lounge in about 0.0001 seconds. When we went out to look the next morning, and the lightening had struck a tree about 5 metres from the window of the bedroom we were in. It tore out a huge chunk of the tree. I will never, ever forget that night as long as I live. I still love thunderstorms.

I like thunderstorms too, Just somthing about them thats exciting. My god, I bet he needed a drink after that!
