Just been thinking about this, when its released might look for the old S3 as i wanted one originally but hopefully prices will drop when this is released! But depends on how money goes, as currently love spending 50-60 on fuel but getting 200 allowance for it
all reviews say new s3 is only good for looks and drives crap better off for that money getting an r32 with all the options and chipping it for the extra power imo
^theres not much more power to be had from chipping a r32, where as there is with an s3. id also never personally purchase a car, based purely on magazine reviews.
Thats VAG marketing! As mentioned further up, i recon Vag are leaving all the styling bells&whistles for the Rs3, much in the same way they did between s4 > Rs4.
Maybe, but i see a problem with the actual shape of the shell, i have difficulty telling between an a4 estate and the a3. Deceptively big. So they can do what they like but best off givng it some excercise. Although once i see it in the flesh i'm sure it will be much nicer, the new TT looks great, far better then the pics.
nice looking car! i drove the 2.0TDI when i took my a3 in for a service. the new A3 is so uncomfortable though! gave me a bad back after just 1 day!
New S3 was something I could of gone for but the reviews say its just not worth the money. It is a bit strange how the six pot wasn't used but if the RS3 is a reality then I can see where they are going. Dunno whether to stick with the one I have and beef up the engine to 300 plus or get a Golf Mk5 R32/GTI ?
Take it you failed the Oxford entrance exam for that English degree then Chris9n?!! Not impressed with the new S3. Just like the new R32, it just doesn't look mean enough and 30k (with any options) is pretty horrendous for a turbo'd four pot (Evo excepted).
possibly the only joys of having a digi box in the tv, otherwise i share the same fate. certainly the only thing i have watch this evening
