I have an OEM suspension on my '89 Golf GTI 8V mk2 and it's in very bad condition. I decided to go with a modest change and bought a Koni STR.T kit. The old setup is pretty much everywhere bad so what other new parts do I need for the Koni setup? At least the G60 top mounts would be smart to get, what else? Thank you! :)

    Best, Jussi

Just top mounts and have a look at your suspension bushes and the ARB links.

Put Audi TT bushes in the rear of the wishbones.

Do I need some special tool to get the old bushes out and the TT bush/new OEM bush in the wishbone or is it just easier to get a new wishbone with new bushes already in it? Don't have any former experience with bushes.. [:D]

You won't buy mk2 wishbones with TT bushes in them.
Old ones can be hammered, cut or burnt out, new ones pressed or hammered in.

Just i.e. a jaw vice will do for the pressing? Do you recommend changing the whole wishbone while I'm there or just the bushes? Will I notice a difference between OEM and TT bush in a daily GTI driver? Sorry for the dumb questions..

I did, it sharpens up the steering without harshness. I fitted them to old wishbones.
