We edited that MK1 out of a post a few days ago you bugger so no one would see it. :p:lol:

Looks like he's set a stupidly high reserve anyway to get the money back for those pimp daddy wheels. [:s]

The scirocco is not a storm as they did not come out untill 1979! the reserve is set way too high IMO for a car with out tax or MOT and the wheels are too big for the car, and they must have mangled the rear bumper and spare wheel well to get that horrid looking centre exit exhaust. Its a shame as it does look like a nice car!

from what i can remember, the car used to run on 17" Venoms! the arches are really rolled. it deffenatly doesnt have a spare wheel well, and runs a flexable saust pipe over the axle!

do you know any more about the history? as I ran the plate through the rac check thing and it came up as a storm but it literally can't be one so its probably a gti or gli badged up as one!? and on the wheels I'm sure they are fine but it just looks over wheels IMHO and the exhaust is just not to my taste, still mk1 roccos are great cars and I'm looking into getting one myself pretty soon.

all i know is that it was sat, in a lane for a good few years, before being rescued, i think it was then paintes gold, it then had a small front end ding, repaired and painted black, im sure it didnt have that interior, when he bought it.

its only up the road from me, so if you are thinking of bying it, i could have a look at it for you.

yeah I was thinking about it but what with the slightly dodgy history aspect and the reserve being way too high, its just too far for me really! I'm hopefully looking at one a bit closer to me next weekend, needs more work but I'm kinda looking for a project - thanks for the offer though

yep too much for what is essentially an old car with no tax or mot and isn't even a real storm - I'd be suprised if he gets it.

Not worth that much when it's not even the right colour. [:s]

I always thort they only came in silvery green and silvery blue (those
arent the list names I'm sure...) never sure about black though. Both
had a deeper spoiler at the front (BBS or Zender) wooden gearlever
and black hide from the factory.

I went to see that caddy BTW, not what my mate wanted as it
happens but with the engine wiring up and a few other bits and bobs
would make a tough workhorse. Wont win prizes in the show and
    shine though.

[:-B] there were actually two batches of mk1 storms - 1979 and 1980/81. The first batch were shwarz (metallic black) with tan leather, diamond pearl silver green with black leather. The second batch were cosmic blue with blue Leather, noisette brown with Fawn Leather.
    :)
