    Ooooh, that's luvverly!

But I'd be going for some really deep dish ATS Classics, with a mental offset for a wide Euro look

Mk1 Rocco on Ronal Turbos? Mmmm....where have I seen that before?

Unfortunately, the "Storm" in the ad is now worthless as a Storm because it's the wrong colour. He says he spent 4.5k yet went for cheapo suspension and Halfords wheels.

It's definitely worth a look as a fast, fun good, rare and looking car but at around half the price.

Not when you're underneath, on your back with a welder on a cold winters night.

I really like it. Anyone want to buy my golf so i can get the Rocco?? ;) Id change the wheels straight away though.

Wouldnt pay 2500 though. Just too much to go wrong on an old car, even if its been fairly well refurbished and its still got 140k on it.

Thats nice in the Ad, alot of money and Ronal or ATS cups would be mint on it.

    @ Dubplate

Mk1 Storms came in 4 metallic colours - black, brown, light green and light blue.

No offence to the seller but he's off his trolley... ;)

The whole point is it's a rare car to start with so rather than mucking up a Storm why not muck up a GLi etc... [:s]

As it is now it's neither one or the other.

Its definitely too much - maybe if it was the origional colour with the origional engine and origional/better wheels, but like that I'd be suprised if anyone bids
no offence to the seller I'm sure its a very nice car - its certainly nicer than the one I just bought:

I would buy the car, but maybe for 1750 ish. Again, like has been said with the original colour.

In fact, i really do want the car. Its fairly hard to find one with a decent shell/chassis. If its as mint and restored as the auction makes out then it would be a good project.

Just too expensive considering the spec.id struggle to get that for my ABF engined golf.

That's the exact rocco I had in mind when I suggested the wheels :)

There was a thread on the Vortex where that car (that very picture I seem to remember) was photoshopped into different colours, including black, but I can't find it now [:^(]
