You don't need to be a 'metal die hard' to realise that Nickelback are completely mundane and middle of the road. You just need to want something more from a band that seperates them from other bands, which they don't have. Music for insomniacs tbh... *yawn*

I`d say the same for anything `RnB`/rap/hip-hop related. Or, for that matter, anything related to Pete Doherty. Its all about personal taste. Its very subjective this music business. Why does it need to be individual anyway ? What balls, either you like it or you dont. And nothing is truly original anyway as everything is inspired by something. Edited by: superden
very true. i dunno, i guess i find them boring because allthough most new music isnt original these days, they kind of try and trick you to think it is. nickleback dont even bother, it just seems flat and boring. allthough they probably aren't tallentless. i really like pete doherty's music. i think he gives of a certain vibe that really sets it apart. i just got his new babyshambles album, not very good tbh. i think the production is floored, theyve really exageratted the helpless junky sound, which he really doesnt need any help with. they killed killamangiro on it.
I wouldnt even class the tripe he spews as music. Its sh*t. But ... as I say ... its all subjective this music and sound business. Music is, when all is said and done, nothing more than background noise to fill a void. Why people get so defensive over it I really cant imagine. Edited by: superden
WTF!! get out. How you can think that about music and bother to come into the tunes section is bewildering to me. Music is so much more than that. and if you dont think so try better music than nickleback
I love music, I think most of my posts in this section prove that adequately, even if my choice of music may not appeal to some ! I happen to like Nickelback, so you saying `try something better` is a sentiment that doesnt mean anything. But unlike many on this forum, I dont get all precious about my taste in music, or cars for that matter. But, when you break it down, music is just noise. Thats not to say you cant enjoy it, or have a distinct preference. But its only personal preference that makes the difference, hence why I hear something like Sean Paul or 50 Cent as nothing more than random irritating noise. Just as a car, when you get right down to it, is a lump of metal that goes from A to B. The only difference is your preference, but the fact is a Lada is a car just as a Mercedes is. I think you rather misunderstood my point.
yep, im not trying to sugest your taste of music is wrong atall. or that my taste is right, as you say its personel preference, it seemed like you were saying all music is just noise. which in a scientific case would be corect
Repetitive dance music (or Nickelback) maybe, but there is music, Dennis, and then there is music. Music, IMO, is an extremely powerful enhancement to one's life.
