he's already ordered a new shell to build another one.

He'll be back in 4 weeks it seems!

Think I might have to venture down to see Castle Combe champs at some point.

Dear me - didn't immediately realise it was time for shell #3...

Prebble aswell on that basis - gawd they'll be sick of him.

One thing occurred to me though. What car parts business can soak up bills of the sort he's racking up? Is he spending an heirloom on his business or are Norris Designs doing a roaring trade? If they are, he's going to need some phat margins to play this game forever.

well he has a Lambo Gallardo (100k??)

A custom SWB 2 door Evo 9 with serious prep (prob another 100k to date, and now being revamped for more reliability)

He's just built a 1000bhp motor for a guy in Ireland.

He's got another 1000bhp motor on the books for another chap in Scotland.

Must be doing a roaring trade to enable all this fun and games.

Good luck to him on that side of things. Business is business after all.

He built the engine for Prebbles and he's gonna sort him out with fixing his car apparently.

    Nice one. Cheers.

Now I`ve seen it I can see what everyone is on about. I just don`t get his driving style, at all...[:s]

One hand on the wheel for most of the time; downshifting on apexes; short up-shifting on apexes; jamming on the brakes, when trail or progressive braking would be more efficient (no wonder they gave out in the end!).

All in all he seems to be ragged, inefficient driver, who just relys on the massive power of his cars to beat the competition. I`m surprised he hasn`t had more smashes.

And is it just me or does the car smoke quite a lot, or is this common for high powered turbo cars?

Black smoke normally a sign of overfuelling...best to play it that side than to run it lean on boost. Probably wear the seals quicker tho, obviously got a big budget!

there's a marshalls post on the inside of the corner which may have been his collision point if he could'nt have avoided it..
pumping pedal.. front no workie, rears still did, turbs him right... rest is history..
the comment of his control avoiding a more serious accident being commended by clerk of the course seems from the vid to be out of control completely.
keeping it on the black stuff would have scrubbed off more speed, but you cant forget there were 2 other cars there so avoiding them would also have been pure luck.

    Quote from Norris

"Just to clarify, the black smoke in the video is down to a hydraulic lifter problem (has happened on other race cars we build) which means the full cam lift/duration does not arrive at the valve due to lifter compression."
