yes they did sell one for 42000, I remember reading it in one of the vw mags about 10 years ago he's not quite right about the door bars though, all late mk2 had them in the doors
my mate just sold a g60 version of this- think they have a different final drive to give a big top end speed.

Nah, thats one of the ealy ones Mike. They did some 90spec ones too. Im sure Premier had one a while back? Black iirc, they sold it on after they worked their magic.
Sent him a question asking if it was a 16V and if there any engine/manifold/sump pictures. Had a reply saying yes its a 16V, no pics as such.
There was a lime green one in Max Power (a LOOOOOONG time ago) That was pretty nice, even with 17" Antera 3 spokes.

Very strange looking car. LHD. Nothing really else to set it off. Can't think how you could jack the costs up to ~30k minimum, to then justify slapping a premium on to sell it for 42k. 5 door... I'm lost..
