Last week my work mate was driving happily allong when a deer desided to jump out in front of him... ta very much. Mk2 came off quite well considering it was a mahoosive stag.

mechanically fine, need a new air filter as his one got mashed up in the altinator belt tho. body work is slightly shagged. too be expected.

lucky boy really. the deer when under the car, luckily not over. took the poor thing in half tho...

it was quite nice. but that wing was fooked with rust anyway, so no great loss there.

hopefully the insurance wont write it off!

i dont think he wanted to put 2 halves of a stag in the boot tbh lol apparently, a deasent condition (and sizable) stag can get around 300 at the butchers... goes towards the repair bill. dont know how true thatis though...

If you hit it, you can't take it home and eat it, but the next passing motorist can (at least that's what Stephen Fry said on QI)

yes, that is right, otherwise people would go around 'hunting' in their cars. now they have to go in groups of two!

I once ran a baby deer over in the truck. It went under the wheels and burst open like a big zit. was not happy washing all the blood and guts off it. [xx(] [xx(] [xx(]

Wrap a clean part of the road kill in foil, throw on the manifold, drive for a few hours & lunch is ready :-)

On a serious note....if your unfortunate enough to hit a cow or horse head on, your probably be laying on the slab as the body of the animal rolls onto the bonnet and takes out the front seat occupants. Your will have a migraine after that event - a head removing one!!
