Any negatives to having a catch tank?

Finally installed my 6A/KR rebuild (took the threat of moving out and having the engine still in the garage to do it - haha) and must say I'm more than happy with it. Pulls well, revs hard - muchos smiles all round.

The KR used to pull a bit of oil through the crankcase breather, to the point that i felt it could be clogging the air filter - K&N so washable... Is this normal, is it a problem?

Anyway when setting the gas (fuel/air) on the 6A, with the breather off it seemed to spray oil over the front of the car..........

Can't help but think a catch tank would be a good purchase...

Could i just make one with a panda cola bottle and some hose?
Does it need to route back through the intake system or can i just block the hose connector on the airbox?

    Ta
