started seeing oil drips under the engine so had a look... Looks like a bead of oil forms on the Oil Cooler where the circualr/disc shaped top part meets the square part TDI Mk3 AHU hope that's sort of clear... is there a gasket/O-ring in this join? how does it all come apart?.. I can't find it in Haynes any info / links appreciated, Thanks!
yeah looks liek the oil cooler seal, its available from gsf. you remove the oil filter, then there is a big nut which holds the cooler on. undo that and the cooler drops off. you might be able to manage it with the 2 water pipes left on, but its tricky. also double check all the oil sensors there arnt leaking, but from the pic they all look pretty dry
Cheers for quick reply! 99% sure it leaks from that join but will look at the rest of it too... are the seals from GSF good for the job or will i need VW? will this work without draining the oil / new oil filter? thanks!!!
