OK have car ( 91' MK2 Driver ), have engine, have loom, have clutch.
( Oh and new Lupo GTI dash with clocks etc )

What else do I need on shopping list ? I'm thinking of the following:

    1.MK3 16v box
    2.Rallye / G60 Intercooler ( or do can pace make these ? )
3.Full brake conversion 280+up front and rear Disc
    4.VR6 Fuel pump
    5.Engine management
    6.New suspension ( Avo / Eibach best setup ? )
    7.Hoses etc.

thats all I can think of straightaway. anymore for anymore ?

MkIII 16v uses an 02A Cable change. Come on Phat. You're slipping. ;)

A MkII 16v fuel pump will work. And they're probably cheaper. I paid a tenner for one at my local scrappy a month ago.

Erm, you should perhaps look into strut braces and ARBs as well as suspension. Pace will make you an intercooler, but they will be expensive. You could try Allard Turbosport. They are meant to produce some good stuff at a more reasonable price.

You'll need a peddle box for the hydraulic clutch and associated cylinders and pipe work and brake fluid reservoir.

You'll also need a custom made downpipe, or a complete new system. Depends what you want to spend and what performance your looking for.

    I don't like mk3's, that's why I didn't know! only the VR6 is any good anyway.

a K-jet fuel pump is ideal as they can push out over 7bar of pressure if needed [:D]

i've got an allard intercooler... 400 brand new! [:*:]
    seems to do ok anyhow!

you'll need a G60 rear right engine mount (bracket that bolts to block.

A MkII 16v/TD brackey will also fit. But may require some "Jigging".

Yes strut brace & ARB's essential.

Its the Audi 180bhp lump with the smaller K3. I'm looking for a mild 200bhp at the mo. I've heard about the rear downpipe causing probs. Do you know of anyone tht produces these yet for the MK2 ?

Use a KJET fuel pump from a 16v or 8v golf, also the lift pump should be a K jet one i think.

    Allard intercoolers are the nuts.

27 degrees outside, 20 degrees inlet tempeture, running 1 bar boost.. Now that aint bad !

As for the box, we use a G60 one, loooooooong geared, but tehe 20vt has so much torque it'll pull the gears alright..

You'll be neading a LSD of some sort (quaife ATB diff most favoured for road use), any standard one, except for a diesel one i'd imagine will self destruct..

The KO3 downpipe isnt a tricky one to make, id phone a few vw tuners and ask if they can get one made. It looked like dynalynx might have had a few made for chris's car, best bet might be them. Failing that powerflow will make em.
