One piece windows in MK1?

Has anyone ever fitted one piece windows to their MK1? i.e. early MK2 to late MK2.
Am interested in doing it to my MK1.

it was done by awesome a few years back on the peach mk1 vr6.dont know how or if its still got them

 

MkII to MkII I have been told is realitivly easy but I think the guys with the peach mkI were having a nightmare with the weather strips

 

As far as i know no one successfully developed a one piece window kit for the MK1. Its true that in an earlier incarnation the peach Awesome MK1 had them fitted but they were purely for show, cut to size and fitted in a fixed position. They did not and could not move. Jim replaced them with standard 2 piece windows and mechs when he sold the car.

 

I read somewhere that the latest South African Mk1 has one piece front windows - however I think the S.A. car is only available as a 5-door...

 

I have seen pics of the SA one peice front windows and yes they are only 4 door. Would be cool on a caddy though

 

doesn't the trim sport mk1 have the racing perspex "glass" in? making it a one peice unit?

 

Awesome's MK1 had these perspex 1 piece windows & they are fixed so your car won't pass the mot with them in
