what is the " box of tricks" on the left hand side of the engine bay attached to the inner wing in the middle of the Coolant reservior, screen wash tank and power steering fluid tank?
Its I presume something to do with the fuel injection system and you can both feel and hear it ticking when the engine is running. Problem is mine iss getting louder, and when cold can be heard inside the car, especially at 1200rpm, the idle speed with the choke on. just been to the dealers for rough and noisy cold starts and all they did was check the coils.

    any ideas?

This is part of emissions crap I recall. Carbon filter which rebreathes/filters fuel tank vapours...
normal for it to tick. Are the pipes and connections on tight? Sometimes they can pop 1/2 off
