Has anyone seen this before or have any suggestions? My Passat has started drinking oil, always used a lot, but its getting through a litre of oil in about 1400 miles. which just seems mental to me. it has lots of black smoke when i floor it, especially visible at night if someone is following me. (although i dont drive it hard) but other than that i cant spot any symptoms at a quick glance engine bay isnt dirty and i cant see evidence of a leak on the driveway but its gravel so it wouldn't be easy to spot. engine seems to run spot on, temps are perfect, water level hasnt moved since i had it. cars on 110000 miles now so its getting on a little. any ideas? thanks
