What tools will I need to remove a Passat pedal box, master cylinder, slave cylinder & all the associated hydraulic clutch lines?

Do I need to remove the steering column to get the pedal box off?

Pics of all components required would be helpful [:$]

Are there any particular years that are more suitable for a Mk2 & would Corrado stuff be ok too?
Are the hydraulic lines all solid like brake lines or are there flexible hoses too? & could I make up any damaged/missing lines with brake pipes & fittings?

Its quite a pain in the arse of a job really.

You will need a socket set with a good extension

The steering column does need to be removed to remove it, i jus cut through the bracket at the top to save hassle with the shear bolts.

There are some rigid and flexible lines on the system, will be dead obvious how to remove when you see it.

You will also need the passat fluid reservoir as it has a take off for the clutch

Its need to be an early 90's passat, the one with the big plastic nose on it.

Corrado is just the same so is also suitable.
