thinking of getting a passat tdi s reg sport for batting up and down the motorway anything to look for? are they any good. cheers
Seems like a fair bet for eating up motorway miles. Enginewise, it'll be the same as the golfs, so look out for regular services/cambelt changes, possible mafs and waterpumps.
We had gearbox failure on one (28000miles) and immob faults on the other, I got the 130 tdi as my co. car and avge about 46mpg but my sales director got the 110 and gets 55mpg, they just eat up the miles, are nice and comfy and are reliable. Not that much difference between the 130 and 110 in performance 2b honest. Go for it, I can't think of anything else I rather drive 80,000 mile a year in.
