Passenger seat why do they lower then

    Why do they lower the passenger seat more then the drivers?

    to lower the centre of gravity.

    the passenger doesn't need to see as much as the driver does. nor does he have to reach the driving controls.

    Move it further back as well, moves weight towards the middle of the car.

    Also cages can start to get close to helmets & it gets annoying, plus safety angle on that too.

    ^^ And on Luke's point, gives a nice chance to centre the seating posn laterally, ref pedals and wheel (though tbh, not a major prob on Golfs).
