    Guys,
I'm wanting to put a chipped PD engine in my MK2 16v (90) and wondered if its possible...
I'm serious about this and don't mind spending money to do it properly but I'm not sure where to start. I'd like 180+ BHP on a 5-speed box, everything else about the car is going to be kept standard, as it left the factory. Is there anyone who specialises in this conversion, has it even been done before?
    Cheers,
    Sam

i have been thinking about this for a while, the main problems i can think of is the engine managment.you would need to get the immobilser removed or have to make it work with the car, allso it would be missing signals from other ecu's such as abs, dash panal ect this may upset the ecu,i was thinking about swaping the loom, dash, abs well most of the car from a seat ibiza as they are simmaler size to the mk2,but dont know of any that have been done

So the main thing to worry about is doctoring the loom... How about Driveshafts? do they need to be modified from the standard MK4/Passat/Whatever the engine comes from... How (if at all) do the engine/gearbox mounts need to be doctored? Do I need to uprate my front springs/shocks to cope for what I assume is a heavier engine? Is it the 130 or the 150 that can be chipped to 180+ BHP? (AMD-Tech I think) and is there a Limited-Slip-Diff available for the 5-speed Diesel box? Or is it better to go for a 6 Speed box? I'm not too bothered about top end, I got my Scoob for that but I want summat quick and economical and this seems like the best of both worlds.

Is there anyone who'll actually do this conversion? Not worried about paying for a proper job...

Also want this done sooner rather than later as I cover 500+ miles a week in my Scoob and its costing me a fortune on V-Power!

basiclly same as 1.8T conversion- engine , wiring loom, keys, clocks

    wiring -need whole mk4 loom
driveshafts with mk3 TDI box 16V drive shafts - 6 speed custom D/shafts
can mount on mk2 mounts with minor alterations- engine feels smoother in mk 4
engine & box well heavier will work on gti springs, coil covers ideal
start with 130BHP engine, will achive 180/200 BHP easierly!

i'd be tempted by a 6 speed box in futrue, 5 just right but seem to run out of gears when racing thought them (above 100MPH) I also have a 6 speed TDI daily driver, so you can see why i'm looking for 6! - LSD's available for all VW boxes and would be avsible with this conversion

and going into a lighter car the MPG & performace will be increased[:D]
once all the teathing problems are ironed out, you'll be leaving the scoob at home:o ;)
    smoking everyone at the lights!

If you want it done id speak to www.AllardTurnerMotorRacing.co.uk
Allards would handle the tunning of the pd lump and vw&audi centre stonehouse (dave turner) would sort the engine conversion best of both worlds as there the same racing company and are very highly recomended
