    Hi All

I have a mk4 PD130 mapped to 170bhp. I have been having trouble with running of the car, so I put it on my diagnostic machine and found out it was my injectors that were playing up, number 1 and 4. So before I changed the injectors, I changed the injector loom and MAF (with new parts) and still the same issue. So then I went and bought (good used) set of injectors and put them in. Fitted everything up and the car would not fire up?

So i thought the injectors I have bought are knackered so put the old ones back in and then the car was ready to fire up, but has trouble and I noticed the locking nut on number 1 injector does not tighten up properly.

I tried putting lock tight on it, I even used the thread tape and still no joy.

if this is not tightened down properly would this cause a issue for starting?

If so what are my options what can I do, please assist on this one please?

    Thanks

Helicoil it!? You have stripped the thread by the sounds of things
Has the bolt stripped its thread or the head? Maybe unbolt it and check

Doesn't look good tbh, re-tap and helicoil or swap heads? Don't know what to say tbh

Is it 8mm bolt? Maybe use 9mm stud with 8mm top, ford cvh heads use them
