Love the car riley :) My next car will be a mk1 :)

    I've just bought 36mm chokes to my modified 1.6 8v [headwork 280
cam etc] on 40s and wondering if they will be too much, bearing in
mind they don't flow hugely more than a 34mm choke, and not as
    much as a 36mm choke in a 45

    cheers m8 :)
if you were on 34's before,i think your possibly going to see a slight difference mid-top???
    not entirely sure tbh m8.
also theres trumpet length that you can change for diffarent torque/bhp curves.
    mine are longish...

Yeh i run modified 90mm jenvey trumpets which seem to be doing
the trick [i have a very short inlet manifold] have to see how i get on.

I've gone from a standard engine on 40s to one with the 280 cam
with 11mm lift and kent vernier and also a shedload of headwork inc
    reshapped combustion chambers etc...

I've got my carbs ready to go on in the next couple of weeks, just have to work out how to make them fit with the custom inlet manifold.
