Hi guys just wondering what is needed to get the best out of this model?
    Remap where from?
    exhaust which one and proven?
    Air intake which why?
anything else to help it pump out some more ponnies?
Your advise would be much appreciated

welcome. beware when talking about vws with power less than 150bhp, a member named s1mma is lurking about with his 3000bhp fiat ferrari thingy bog, bin taking the p*ss outa me something cronic just for asking about it being possible to fit a turbo to a golf mk3 1.8gl. which is also 90bhp.[:D]
this site is for help and advise, not being a t**t:lol:
ok. im pretty sure that it is possible to 'tweek' the turbo a bit to gain the extra oomph. my mate had it done on his car. ill have to ask about this and keep you informed.
an air filter will probably make no difference on a diesel, but a re-map would definatley be sensible if youve got the dollor.

as for the 90bhp diesel.. theyre not pump deuce, i wouldnt bother. with loads of work, youll get 130bhp maybe. not worth it

there are different tuning box's that plug into the car and can bring yours upto 115bhp, not a bad increase but as always it depends on what you want out of it, if your after a slight increase, then this can be achived easily i guess but for mega power gains then look at a possible GT TDI 150 bhp upgrade

Nitrous will work well on diesels because of the timing. get a 25 shot plus the other stuff and you shud see near 150bhp with alot of torque

the nitrous system doesnt affect the timing as it does on a petrol motor

Is it the AHU engine? I only ask as I have a car with a 90 AHU and was wondering what I could do.

Hi right been speakin to stu at motorsport developments and he can get 35bhp more over standard and 50ft torque across the entire rev range:lol:

Just by doin a live map!:p

Also apparently if u add the de-cat pie from the 1.8turbo mk4 this could/will release 10-15bhp b4 the remap is done quote this additional work was not said by stu but another veedub person;)

This will help get the horses pumpin and its a start so we will see and i will let u know !
the reason for this model is any gttdi 110-130-150-180bhp is astronimical insurance just so you know[:^(]

well i heard the best cars for nitrous is a diesel automatic because of the timing and there being no clutch

Lmao, hows the GL turbo going then? Have you tried the Turbo Zet at 24 volts hooked up in parallel to your resistor or what?
