    Hi hope you can help

When starting my wifes Polo Saloon TDi there is a screach/whizz then the engine sound a bit rough. She put it in before and they changed the brake pads as said that was the problem. I was surprised at that as it had only had its service and MOT 2 months previous. She says there has been a loss of power intermittently.

I know naff all about engines so the car will be going to the local garage but any ideas or suggestions would be helpful so know we're not getting ripped off.

    Many thanks

    Neil

how is that related to brake pads? say you had been ripped off.
even vw garage tried to rip my wife off...brake pad low light came on.
they said needed 4 new disk & pads over 600 quid...

i get the feeling we're being ripped off. dont know if a 1999/2000 v reg polo has a low pad light or the spring thing that screeches when pad s done.
