    Windows vista . 32bit.

i use media player classic home cinema to view movies etc. however everytime i shut the computer down it corrupts and i must reinstall.

this fault is not limited to just this program it happens with anything i currently install.

    any ideas?#
    Thanks

Sounds like the windows installer is corrupt? To be honest it's probably not worth trying to find out, just do a reload - you can do a repair that won't erase any progs or your data from the original install dvd or partition.
At least that way all the main system files will be repaired and you'll have a reliable system.
