i had a noise on my 6 speed box which was diagnosed as a thrust bearing as it went off when you pressed the clutch down, it turned out to be 6th gear, as it was taking the load off the gears when you pressed the clutch down, you can still get the parts , mine cost in the region of 350 to fix, thats including parts & labour, but i also added a lsd while it was out which took the total bill to around 1100, but as i only paid 300 for my box for starters it didnt bother me to much as iv been told they were originaly about 2200 to buy with the diff in brand new so mine is standing me at 1400, & i know it is mint now as it has been apart & inspected

    cheers neil,

i'm going to put some of the redline oil in it for starters and plan to fit an ATB at a later date so will get the gears checked at the same time.
