this looks one hell of a car - not that they are anticipating the new focus RS or anything.....

Looks nice, blue titanium exhaust. Mates standard R26 goes very well and engine sounds very sweet! LSD puts the power of his down well, mates old Focus RS used to skittle everywhere under power.

Looked good in the flesh at the motorshow, nothing OTT but subtle and effective. Carbon bonnet did look yummy

Who was driving it? They should have got that girl Sabine to do it, after a couple of weeks to get used to the car - there can't be many people who've done more laps of the ring than her!

I think it has similar power to the regular 225 Megane.

i can't stand these "factory specials"

they're just modified cars, don't people realise the tuning industry exists and you can build cars like this yourself...

I think your'll find the basic warrenty for a normal road car will probably also extend to these factory specials.

I.E. If you took that car round the ring/on a track day and it blew up 2 months after buying it you would be met at the dealer with an apologetic but firm "Sorry sir, you breached the terms of use. Your warranty is void. Heres your engine repair bill.....".

For the sake of anyone else on the round your insurance should ban you from going on Ring Roads let alone THE 'ring.;)

I went round a couple years ago with Revo Kev in his Ibiza 1.8T - nothing passed us - and it was VERY quick from the passenger seat - he said it was about 8.30

so 8.17 from a standard car is amazing if you ask me

When you think this is an 8:17 full lap not bridge to gantry timing as used on touristfahrt days, it's 'quite bloody quick' :)

Dale from rsr nurburg posted on northloop he did a sub 8:40 btg in a 197 clio on road contis one night last week.

I did a lap the other weekend where I wouldn't have wanted to go much quicker, got held up by a biker between the two karrusells and that was 9:06 btg
    so sub 9 possible. ish...

    No problem Ken.

You can always count on me for unnecessarily random insults to anyone on the internet.
