Just been in the dealer to have a nosey at the mk5.
Spent longer looking at the R32.
Do they all come with that tacky silver badge stuck to the bottom of the steering wheel????

Just wondering if my bank manager is in a friendly mood!!

Beetle Turbo S knob solves that problem - us MKIVs now pretty much all have them ;)

[8D] ahh well I'll still keep a watchful eye out for it cause all the R32's round here seem to be blue for some reason [:s]

Rob - Not seen that colour.
Spotted bright blue, black, silver and seen red advertised. Any other colours?
Had a bit of a scare on the finance side but all okay now.
Should take delivery on Thursday morning all being well.
Giving it a real good test - London to Southamton Friday night then cross country (via Dorchester) to North Devon for a surf (I hope) then back on the M5/M4 on Sunday.
Should cover all types of driving!

Oh yeah - Am I allowed on here any more?
Got SO much stick as a mk3 owner three years ago and not all that many mk4 owners. Am I exiled to that mk4 website?! [8(] [:^(]
    Any mk5 posters yet?

I went into the local VW dealer today to talk about financing one and providing I can sell my Mk 3 privately it should be viable [:D]

A bit worried aboput the dealer though - he tried telling me that they weren't made in red [:s]

Not many in red but they do them.
    Is that a VW dealer?
When I bought my mk3 in Leicester (not a proper dealer) I knew FAR more about the car than him!
He had no idea that it had an immobiliser, MFA and ABS. Of course I exploited his ignorance and knocked the price down.
All being well I should have the R32 tomorrow at about midday.
Tonight I will mostly not be sleeping!!
