So I was attempting to pull out the pollen filter for inspection, and ECU for chipping but I've gone and broken the bl00dy screws for the rain tray at the bottom of the windscreen.

Anybody got a part number and price from VW?

Also - is there some way of getting them out I don't know about as I just kept snapping them and the screwdriver just span them round in circles.

They are a right pain, you need to screw and pull. As you've said just screwing them seems to make them go round and round.

As above; Get a small screwdriver under the edge, then screw them out. Not fully though, just enough for the clips to close and pull through.
