rallye style lights on a mk1

    anyone done it on here?

    i know people have done it, but what do they use etc? Mk1 jetta lights?

    i would think they would put rallye lighe on mate to make it a rallye conversion, or am i being silly?

    thanks for that useful bit of information but a mk1 grill seems narrower and not as long.

    why not try a corrado one?
    steve cull AKA g60steve has done this he might tell you how he did it or how to put rallye ones in?

    oh, and btw was only trying to help, dont be such a dick all the time you get much better results

    i'm planning on the using the jetta ones...i'm using the mk1 golf front panel..unwelding the current headlight brackets and welding the jetta ones in place.


    cutting the jetta grill, using the headlight surronds only and then modify the old mk1 grill to fit...that is the plan!!

    There certainly are some Mk1's about with Rallye lights and grill. Not sure if they had shortened the grill though?

    i may be being dumb here but i thought a mk1 grille was wider than a mk2.

    when ive seen mk1's with rallye conversions they have been left with a gap at each side of the lights and have had to blend the wings in.

    just some help, we've done a corrado headlamp conv on a mk1 using rallye bits, the mk1 grille IS wider than a mk2.
