Re hanging Rear Bumper

    Hi there my rear bumper has droped slightly or even come of the brackets just wanted to know how to get it off i took off the nuts i could find, but it isnt budging !!! help please?

    There are 2, 17 (or maybe 19) mm bolts either side, then just pull :)

    Um.. if you want to remove bracket, which holds bumper, you need to unskrew 4 bolts. All the bolts are 17. You should for look for them in the holes, which are under bracket. Check these holes on the rear panel, and you gonna see deep inside, to bolts holding bracket. And 2 more on other side. Usually it's quite hard task to unbolt them, because of the clearance. Lot of problems when you try to reach second bolt, which is deeper than first one. As you gonna see, that chamber the bracket goes in, is quite narrow. Furthermore, rusted bolts makes this task more inconvenient. good luck. ;)

    ^ you probably haven't got mk3 poly bushes (bought by mistake) and extra long bolts with a flat end rather than tappered :lol:

    No wonder you found it difficult, if you tried to access them through those holes...you access them from underneath the car... ;)

    lol and the nuts are welded to the bumper irons

    if it aint broke, dinnae bother fixin it unless the polis tell ye!
    in which case, i always find HEX sockets advantageous!
