   Hi,
   I want to change the rear beam on a 1.3 with drums to one for rears discs. Does this rear beam have to come off a Gti or do any others work with the correct stubs or parts?

   Discs will fit onto non gti beams, but you'd be best getting a gti one as it comes with an integrated anti roll bar.

   plus the 1.3 beam is made of thinner steel. you can use mk3 rear beams as well, just make sure the donor comes with the compensator valve bits as on so ABS this is removed and the abs ecu takes care of it
