Resetting Brake Light Swith Mk2?.

Hello all.

What's the procedure for resetting the brake light switch stroke, I presume it is adjustable?.

Don't want to break it if I can help it (no pun intended lol)

 

Switch has an internal ratchet mechanism. Mount the switch on it’s bracket then while pushing the brake pedal down pull the plunger in the switch out (series of quite stiff clicks) then let the brake pedal return to its resting position which will push the switch plunger back in to where it should be in contact with the brake pedal. Check then the brake lights come on with minimal downward movement of the pedal.

 

I've a good used genuine one spare if yours turns out to be broken.
