My rev counter has stopped working on my 1990 mk1 cabriolet with all other functions such as mfa working correctly except the mpg function which reads 99.9 mpg.

    Any advice/solutions please?

the 99.9 usually appears if the vacume pipe feed comes loose, afaik the two arent connected as the mpg uses the vacume pressure sensor and the speedo / milage sensor

have you tried reseting the dash by removing the fuse waiting 10 seconds then replacing it? if this doesnt work try taking the fuse out over night so the cap can drain and reset the mfa comp
