Road Angel capable of sat nav?

I always here that the road angels can be linked up to a laptop and from the GPS of the road angel can provide a cheap sort of sat nav. It sort of makes sense as if you could link it to a mapping program surely it could track the co-ordinate change etc.

Does anyone know if this IS true and how to do it?

 

Yeah its true.

I use mine with Autoroute on my laptop.

You set the road angle to GPS mode, then tell Autoroute which com port the road angel is plugged into.

Works a treat.

Ah the good old map, the poor mans GPS

 

yeah im gonna get my pc in my car real soon and link them up for sat nav

 

if only my car started

i was thinking more of a laptop than having a pc on the passengers seat
